StatMat Company Info

It all began with some home made team names attached to a pegboard by removable brads. This allowed the team names to be moved. The names would be placed by current rankings in order to track a local select soccer teams' progress throughout the season. When that team participated in national tournaments, the lack of rankings during the games was sorely missed. So a scoreboard was developed to be keep on the field during the tournaments so all the participating teams could see who was winning and losing.

From that idea, Stat Mat Company was founded in 1986 to assist soccer tournament directors and personnel to easily track and document the results of each regular and playoff game. Since then, the product line has grown from a few basic Stat Mats to a wide assortment of choices and arrangements with every possible tournament configuration available. In addition, it is now possible to customize the Stat Mats with sponsors, tournament names and even individual team names on each Stat Mat.

The Stat Mat Company started as a private company in Fairfax, VA, and remains private to this day from thier base in Orlando, Florida.
